October Luncheon: How to Create a Stellar Giving Tuesday Campaign
How to Create a Stellar Giving Tuesday Campaign
Brianna Coble, Lori A. Long, CFRE
Most nonprofit organizations are aware of Giving Tuesday and many have developed campaigns to take advantage of this online fundraising initiative. In this presentation, Lori Long, Executive Director of The Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges, and Briana Coble from the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, will share their expertise on Giving Tuesday campaigns and offer tips and insights. Additionally, Lucie Bradshaw with Asemio will offer suggestions on how to promote Giving Tuesday and other online fundraising programs to Millennials.
Entering its sixth year, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year and a growing catalog of resources.
